Aboriginal Spirit: Honouring Women, Arts & Fashion
Chilliwack The Stó:lō Tourism Commission held its 3rd Annual Aboriginal Spirit event, held on Saturday November 1st, 5pm – 9pm, at the Tzeachten Community Centre, 45855 Promontory Rd, Chilliwack.
Over 250 people attended the Honouring ceremony and silent auction. 25 volunteers staged the Aboriginal Fashion show, featuring 8 Aboriginal Clothing and Accessory designers. Nelson Leon, Sacred Connections, was the MC from Chehalis First Nation, and also sang and drummed for special Hoop Dance performance by Gary Abbott, of Siska First Nation.
